websites and apps
Available as an app and on a web-broswer, Nessy is an engaging program that uses structured literacy to support emerging readers in developing essential reading and decoding skills. Talk to your classroom teacher to get log-in information for your scholar.
IXL is skill-based practice for math and reading. Mainly used by our 3rd through 8th grade scholars, IXL can be used as teacher assigned practice, as well as giving individualized skill recommendations based on a diagnostic.
Used by our middle school scholars, iReady supports reading and math through structured practice that meets students where they are at based on a fall diagnostic, taken at school. Contact your classroom teacher to access log-in details at home.
Looking for more details about strategies you can use at home for your blossoming reader? Check out these great supports from the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education, as recommended by Mrs. Chappelle!
Our middle school scholars can access and turn in assignments on Google Classroom, including links to assignments on TCI for Social Studies, or Achieve3000 assigned articles.
Middle school scholars can check on their grades using their FACTS log-in at any time throughout the year. MS teachers update and load new grades weekly: set up a time to meet with your teacher if you need support.
Middle school scholars can read articles that meet them at their Lexile Level, as determined by a beginning of the year diagnostic. Achieve3000 also supports comprehension skills, including summarizing.
Available to all students, Class Dojo allows families to find announcements from teachers, see daily classroom activities, and message with teachers using this platform. Get the access code from your classroom teacher!
