St. Therese Catholic Academy (STCA) Preschool program is guided by our core values:

We believe that a strong foundation in Early Childhood Education is essential to form faith-filled servant leaders, responsible lifelong learners, and respectful and compassionate community members.

That is why here at STCA we believe and strive to incorporate “Love for Learning”. Early childhood learning should be fun and at the same time be able to ignite the faith, minds, and dreams of our youngest of learners. While learning comes naturally at these early stages in life we believe that education should be filled with fun, happy and loving experiences where everyday children would feel welcomed, accepted, appreciated and loved in a safe and structured school environment.

Our Preschool Program serves 20-24 children from 3 to 5 years old with a Lead Teacher and supported by 2 Co- teachers. Our curriculum covers prerequisites for Kindergarten Common Core in Math and ELA (Literacy and Language Arts) as well as Religion, Science, and Social Studies and a healthy dose of music, art, physical activity, and other enrichment exposure. Our classroom environment is filled with resources and tools to meet the needs and interests of our students as well as our school’s Student Learning Expectations. Together they build a close, loving and trustworthy community in the classroom that creates friendships that last a lifetime.

Our program is currently a 10-month program that runs with the rest of the school from September-June, but we are looking to pilot a summer session as well in the summer of 2020 for 7 weeks.

 

Our standard school day is from 8:25am-12:25pm (half day program), but we also offer a full day option with lunch, rest, and recreation that goes to 3:30pm along with the rest of the school. Extended care is available through 6pm.
